Universities
Most universities offer a page dedicated to part time jobs, usually found under student guilds. Do check it out from time to time. You might get lucky.
Newspapers
Grab the free Chinese newspapers at Sunnybank, and flip to classifieds. It’s a bonus if you’re able to read Chinese, or find someone who can. You can stand at Newsagent and read the daily newspaper too. Skim through the pages and only read classified ads.
Notice Board
Pay more attention to the notice boards around universities. You can look around Elizabeth Street and Sunnybank area too. Not too sure about other suburbs, though. The chances are lower because the notices are stuffs for sell. Some good deals do pop-up occasionally. Spend 1-2 minutes read through the notices if you are allowed to do so.
Words of mouth
Ask your friends who are doing part time job. Is their employer looking for more casual workers? Is the pay good? These info (inside scoop) can be valuable. Don’t be afraid to engage on more friends. I got my first part-time job through my girlfriend too.
Do you have any other methods to share with us? Please leave a comment.
